The Map, almost?

People are needing to see the updates to the course to help in planning food and rest stops so have had a major session with GPX's and KML to get something up to work with.

There is a small gap from Arrowtown to Queenstown to be added (it will use the Queenstown Trails so is off-road and pleasant riding).

The big changes are no wet feet on day one (and a much easier day) and a hill on the way to Arrowtown.

A few tweaks may be in order as haven't had time to measure it up.

THE RIDE
A 1100 km bicycle brevet around the South Island of New Zealand. Taking in the iconic Mackenzie High Country, the Lakes, and through to Central Otago and Southland and back again to the High Country. It uses a mix of gravel back country roads, cycle trails and tracks with 90% off-road riding and 10% sealed surface.

You will start and finish in the scenic setting of Tekapo. The course is designed to be as much as possible off road and takes in high passes in the beautiful but rugged central South Island ranges. It will follow many historic tracks and will be a physically challenging and rewarding adventure.
