The Three Musketeers!

Wild weather? It got wilder a couple of days later with the massive dump of the white stuff down to 400 metres. The locals would probably not appreciate how crazy the riders really were ;-)

And it got wilder as the ride continued!

THE RIDE
A 1100 km bicycle brevet around the South Island of New Zealand. Taking in the iconic Mackenzie High Country, the Lakes, and through to Central Otago and Southland and back again to the High Country. It uses a mix of gravel back country roads, cycle trails and tracks with 90% off-road riding and 10% sealed surface.

You will start and finish in the scenic setting of Tekapo. The course is designed to be as much as possible off road and takes in high passes in the beautiful but rugged central South Island ranges. It will follow many historic tracks and will be a physically challenging and rewarding adventure.
