A large bunch (20+ riders) converged on the thriving metropolis of Garsten (pop:106, altitude:304m).
With few rooms in the inn, many headed up to the Historic Ski Hut on the Hector Mountains above Garsten. It would have the busiest night has seen since 1954, 17 weary cyclists in a 10 bunk hut.
